Kuza Cave Tour

Overview

Kuza cave is the one of the natural cave which is located in the south part of the island,it is an ancient limestone jungle cave with crystal clear turquoise fresh water cave. you won’t want to leave so why not buy the package deal and stay for the day.

In the kuza cave, there is a restaurant and large shaded area where you can buy food and drinks. The area around the cave is a peaceful nature preserve for wildlife that includes Red Colobus Monkeys, colourful butterflies, many birds, chindi and bush babies.

Kuza cave is a 50 metres round sink hole in the middle of a small jungle in Jambiani on the southern part of zanzibar, the fresh water in the Kuza cave is a result of 250,000 years of erosion of the soft limestone by rainwater, the cave water is generally about 3 metres deep and has sub caves connected that are much deep and the water is very clean for enjoying a swimming.

In Kuza cave, there are three parts for booking.

1. Cave Visit ( No booking required)
Swim in the healing fresh water. Enjoy the peaceful jungle.See artifacts from the cave and a timeline of Swahili history going back to the beginning of our story as human originating in East Africa.

2. Drumming and Dancing ( Booking required)
In Kuza cave, there’s talented performers trained in a wide variety of drumming styles. book ahead to enjoy a lesson or drum circle.

3. Lunch and Swahili Cooking lesson. ( Booking required)
You can join with us in the new open -plan kitchen. Learn how to gently blend Zanzibar Spices and make fresh coconut milk sauce, chicken, fish or vegetarian options.
